From 121 Judaism - Proof That God Exists:
"According to Christianity the God of the Bible is the source of all knowledge. "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge." (Proverbs 1:7)
According to Judaism, the G-d of the Hebrew Scriptures is the source of all knowledge. "The fear of the Lord (HaShem) is the beginning of knowledge." (Mishlei 1:7)
Followers of Judaism believe that all knowledge is gained through the Hebrew Scriptures, and oral tradition.
So, how do you reconcile:
"According to Christianity the God of the Bible is the source of all knowledge. "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge." (Proverbs 1:7)
According to Judaism, the G-d of the Hebrew Scriptures is the source of all knowledge. "The fear of the Lord (HaShem) is the beginning of knowledge." (Mishlei 1:7)
Followers of Judaism believe that all knowledge is gained through the Hebrew Scriptures, and oral tradition.
So, how do you reconcile:
> the Scriptural teaching that all righteous deeds are as polluted garments, with the oral tradition that righteous deeds atone for sin?
> the Scriptural teaching that atonement is attained through a blood sacrifice made on an altar of the Temple by a priest, with the oral tradition that atonement can be obtained without a blood sacrifice, Temple, or priesthood?
> the Scriptural teaching of Isaiah 53 that the redeemer is a righteous suffering servant, with the oral tradition that Isaiah 53 refers to the unrighteous nation of Israel, which needs a redeemer?
THE PROBLEM:
Contradictions amount to lying, as opposing statements cannot both be true. The above statements expose contradictions in your source of knowledge, which means that you could be wrong about everything you claim to know.
