Does God exist?
Is it impossible for the God of the Bible to exist? In thinking about this question, in order to know for certain that God did not exist, you'd have to be all-knowing. This is because if you weren't all-knowing, there could be some evidence that you've missed that could conclusively prove God's existence. If I were to be incredibly generous I could say that you know about 1% of all of the possible knowledge in the universe. How do you know that in the 99% of knowledge in the universe that you don't have that there is ample evidence to prove God's existence? (In reality you don't even have 1% knowledge without God because you can't justify any knowledge, and also God can be proven to exist even with our limited knowledge (See the 'Proof God Exists').
The pie graph below represents all of the possible knowledge in the Universe / The knowledge God has
I can't understand something, therefore it does not exist / cannot be true
This cartoon shows the absurdity of another common argument that professed atheists use to try to deny God's existence. The logical fallacy here is the argument from incredulity. Just because we can't understand the reason why God does things does not mean he doesn't exist. We live in a fallen creation where bad things do happen. But instead of asking why bad things happen to good people - ask why good things happen to bad people!
(Take the Good Person Test if you haven't already to see if you are a good person). To say that something is good or bad also presupposes an ultimate moral standard by which to measure things by. If you deny God's existence you have no basis for saying anything is bad or wrong. You can only say that you don't like something - which is what the Bible says - that unbelievers don't like God - in fact they hate him and are "hostile" towards him.
